Among the meals we had this time around were another eggs Benedict (delicious), pineapple upside down pancakes (on the dry side, but that’s what syrup is for), a made-to-order omelet, and made-to-order eggs with toast. I guess maybe we were in-between the breakfast and lunch crowds, because it definitely got busy shortly after we were seated. The restaurant doesn’t take reservations, but they were able to accommodate us immediately at 11:00 a.m. On the second visit there were eight of us.

Our server was very attentive, she made sure we had lots of. Blueberry Danish pancakes, eggs Benedict with avocado, and a scrambler with lots of meat were all delicious and filling. First time, three people, outdoor seating. Their "waiting list" system is failing for some reason, their waiting area is severely inadequate for a busy restaurant, and it appears their staff is under-trained. I'd still recommend Snooze as a brand, but not this location. We "voted with our dollars" and left, even though she offered to seat us outside at that point. She looked confused when I reminded her I'd told her we'd take anything, first available. When I asked about the (still) empty outdoor seating, she said, "everyone wants to sit inside". I was told they were all ahead of me on the waiting list. We're in our late 60's, but assumed we'd be seated relatively quickly.Īfter 30 minutes of standing in clear view of the Host, and watching numerous tables come free, then be given to others arriving after us, I approached the Host. There's nowhere to stand that you're not in the way of staff or other customers trying to come in. Their waiting area is abysmal! There were exactly 3 chars in a tiny corner, behind the entrance door and next to the hosts desk. We we're told it would be only 5 or 10 minutes. We arrived about 7 minutes later and added ourselves to the list at the Hosts desk. It wouldn't allow me to add us to the list. The site said no-one was on the list, so just come on in. We followed all the rules, Since they don't take reservations, I went online about 5 minutes before leaving to put us on the waiting list. this Snooze reinforced the fact that, no matter how good a brand is, the local management and staff can ruin an experience anyway.

Normally, all is great and I'd highly recommend them. I normally don't write bad reviews, I vote with my dollars instead. My family and I have eaten at their Colorado, Phoenix and now Scottsdale location and have never been disappointed. Their menu has something for everyone and ranges from twists on the traditional egg and hash brown meals ( like Breakfast Pot Pie), to six different kinds of Eggs Benedict ( try the Caprese Benedict), and for those of you with a sweet tooth in the morning, the best pancakes in town (if you can’t decide on one, get the pancake flight and try three).
#Snooze scottsdale full
It has a casual and friendly atmosphere with food that will definitely leave you full and wanting to come back again and again. Snooze is an amazing breakfast joint and they just opened their first Scottsdale location this past week in Kierland Commons.
